Rainy Osaka

Japanese people often tell me that it rains a lot in England. That may be true, but at times in Japan it seems to rain for days on end. Especially during rainy season (early summer) and typhoon season (late summer).

As a skateboarder I'm not a big fan of rain, but I have to say neon lights and wet streets make a good subject for photography.

Dangerous cycling

One thing I'd never seen before I came to Japan was people cycling with umbrellas. Some bikes even have special umbrella holding attachments fitted. If you think cycling while holding an umbrella in the rain is dangerous, you should see them in winter when it's snowing! Do you ever cycle like this?

    Tim,

Love this series as well. Reminds me of Blade Runner.

    The bike riding is crazy.

Yeah, I think Osaka and Tokyo must have had a strong influence on the set design in Blade Runner.

Crazy right? Especially when it’s barely raining..
